Elaine Krushinski-Johnson is a career RN educated at Cypress College (CA) and the University of Dundee (Scotland, UK) where she focused on issues of concern to seniors including polypharmacy. She later completed a Certified Medicare Specialist designation with the NAHU.
Her entry into Medicare came by way of working with seniors in both hospice and with one of the largest healthcare providers in America as a RN Case Manager. As she advocated for clients to get the best use of their benefits often she wished she could do more on the front end when clients had more and better options. Now that is what she does. She believes Medicare is first about healthcare and healthcare is first about care. And that care starts with an advocate for YOU and protecting your relationship with your doctor. Caring is managing your care, not rationing your care. She has a point of view. It is born of experience. Could you use such an advocate?
